Service Continuation:
Definition: The continuance of the service is always considered as consistent employment or business structure, changes in the ownership, an amalgamation, or other events.
Purpose: This is aimed at guaranteeing job security for the employees and to remain at peace with the surrounding environment they are in. This mightinvolve changing of roles of worker, departments, or may even help in retraining of worker to adjust according to the new business needs.
These ideas lie at the center of the human resources strategy designed to facilitate change processes, sustain employee engagement and choose to stay at the company in times of crises. However, pay protection and service continuation policies may be expressed and defined in particular detail, and may cover different scopes and aspects as required by either local laws or general standards within a specific industry.
